Bug

This is my cousin's one-year old daughter, Alexia aka Bug. Last week doctors found a tumor in her kidney. She is currently at Stanford Hospital and will soon be undergoing surgery and chemotherapy. It breaks my heart that someone so purely happy and completely innocent would have to go through all of this pain. What saddens me even more is that I haven't had the chance to meet her. I've watched her grow up via facebook pictures and updates but I have never held her in my arms or pinched her cute little cheeks. My prayers go out to Bug and her family. I know that she is strong and will get through this and I will get the chance to hug and kiss her very soon.

I made these little love birds as a wedding gift for my boyfriend's dad and step mom. It took a couple of tries to get it right but I am extremely happy with the way they turned out. La-la-la-love is in the air!!!

I mustache you a question.

With hockey playoffs in full swing I was feeling a little left out of the beard growing tradition. Alas, no more! I found a crochet pattern for a mustache and a beard and put it all together to create the below.

for my valentine...

Staying in for Valentines Day was the best idea ever. We made a delicious seafood pasta with prawns, clams, and scallops accompanied with a bottle of wine and two 40's!!! The beer was a last minute addition. For desert, Sean made me creme brulee with blackberries. Sooooo yummy!

Since I am trying to save money for India, I made my boyfriend a little Chinese takeout valentine gift. I took a large chinese takeout box and filled it with Hershey Kisses and fortune cookies constructed out of felt and flower wire. Inside the cookies were little fortunes/coupons foretelling massages and desserts.

I looooove LOVE.

This is the first Valentine's Day that I have had a boyfriend in yeeeears. I am so excited to finally have the perfect guy to celebrate this day with. Nothing fancy. Gonna stay in and make some yummy dinner and chill with the doggies. I have a few surprises up my sleeve...but that will all be revealed with time.
